• Meet in a public place, preferably at a kink event.
• Ask for references. Who in the community can vouch for this person?
• Bring a friend to meet them as well.
• Are they active in the community? If not, why not?
• Set up a safe call. There are references online that tell how to do this.
• Tell someone you trust where you are going, what you are doing, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be back.
• Set limits beforehand, especially if meeting for a date or play session.

-Do you expect me to call you Sir?
-Is there going to be sex? If you said No, don't change your decision later.
-Is there going to be play? What type?
-Kissing?

When meeting someone privately it is important to take every safety measure possible. Protect yourself.
