And a mast meeting.
I'm looking forward to attending the mast meeting, even though I normally don't enjoy groups of new people. This time, I want to meet them, get to know them, and give encouragement! Or maybe I'm hoping for encouragement. We've had the same discussions so many times in our mast meetings, and I'm starting to worry about new topics, starting to wear down on ideas.
Mast is listed as a support group. I wonder if we could do a support/goals kind of thing. I'm sure everyone has something they feel they are working on or toward, something they want to do with their life or improve on or, just something they want to do more often. And everyone could use encouragement and accountability.
What if we helped each other as a group? What if people actually asked me if I've been working on any new toys this week, or told someone they look good when they've lost weight, or sent major an email on Fridays to remind him about his computer class? We have a network, why not reach out to each other?
What are some things that other members of our group could do on occasion, to help you with your life? What do you need that you aren't getting?
I thought of this topic because I was thinking what masters and slaves do together, and the answer is everything, but it's not quite true. Medic is a slave, and I am helping her to better herself. Not by punishing her, or dominating her, but by supporting her and giving her a little guidance toward where she wants to go, and what she wants to do. And if we could do those things for each other, we might make a lot of progress. (If her progress is indicative of anything)
